Cross River partners network on accurate health statistics

The statistician general of Cross River State Dr. Ogar Josephat has offered to partner the ATM Network operating in the state on accurate health statistics.
Dr. Odey who made the pledge when members of the ATM Network paid him an advocacy visit said Cross River has no issue with data and is happy to see people who want to use data.
“Our doors are wide open, any data you need to write to us and put it in a template form.
“Data may not be 100% correct but it can help in decision making and the society will be worse without it”, he said
Earlier Pastor Effiong Udobong of the Civil Society for Malaria Control, Immunization and Nutrition, ACOMIN said the ATM Network has been working to strengthen health systems at the local level.
He said the advocacy visit aims to help resolve escalated issues identified at the PHC’s with the view to enhance effective health care service and achieving community ownership.
Victor Ogwuche State Programme Officer said the ATM Network is presently working in five local government areas in the state comprising Calabar South, Calabar Municipality, Etung, Obanliku and Bekwarra.
The ATM Network has three components comprising Aids, Tuberculosis, Malaria and are implementing the C19RM/NACA/GF/RSSH/GC7 Grant in Cross River State.
