According to the COO, the company’s decision to commence domestic flight operations at the Enugu airport stemmed from the peaceful environment and economic progress that obtains in the state under the present administration, adding that it was the resolve of Dana Air to key into the efforts of the government to grow the state’s economy.
He applauded Governor Ugwuanyi for the developmental strides of his administration and stressing his company’s avowal to contribute its quota towards the sustenance and advancement of the present status quo in the state.
Addressing journalists after the meeting, Mbanuzuo said; “We are here to pay a courtesy visit to the Executive Governor of Enugu State, Rt Hon Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi and to announce that Dana Air is commencing scheduled passenger service between Lagos and Abuja to Enugu.
“The reason Dana Air is starting this service is because Enugu has shown itself to be one of the most peaceful states in Nigeria, where the economy is growing, and Dana Airline wants to contribute in the growth of the economy,” he added. With the development, Dana Air becomes the third passenger airline, after Air Peace and Ibom Air, to run daily commercial flights to and from Enugu since the Enugu International Airport was reopened after a yearlong closure by the federal government to give way for major rehabilitation projects.
