Easter: Ebonyi commissioner applauds Nwifuru’s good governance initiatives

Ebonyi people, especially the rural populace, have extolled the governor of Ebonyi State, Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, for making the redemption work of Jesus Christ more meaningful to them through steadfast delivery of good governance.
This was revealed by Ebonyi State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Hon. Uchenna Stephen Igwe, in his Easter 2025 goodwill message.
Igwe who spoke from the benefit of hindsight as both an Ebonyi man and the overseer of the grassroots in Nwifuru’s administration said that he used the lenten period for interactive project tours of the 13 Local Government Areas and 64 Development Centres in Ebonyi State in order to gauge the feelings of the people as well as the impact of the Peoples’ Charter of Needs administration on the lives of the populace.
“As Christians all over the world celebrate the redemptive works of Jesus Christ today, I wish, on behalf Ebonyi rural populace, to congratulate the Christian community in Ebonyi State, especially our leader and governor, Builder Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru for also redeeming Ebonyi people from lack, poverty, diseases, insecurity and under-development through good governance and godly leadership.
“During my tour of the 13 LGA and 64 Development Centres, majority of Ebonyi rural populace sent heartwarming appreciations and goodwill messages to Builder Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru for his impactful and people-centred administration.
“When people are healthy, secure and are empowered to earn their living in dignity, they serve God better. Redemption becomes more meaningful when it stretches from the spiritual to the physical. That is what Builder Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru has been doing for Ebonyi people,” Igwe stated in his Easter message.
He concluded with a charge on Ebonyi people to celebrate in peace and continue to support Governor Nwifuru whom he described as “a man whose love for Ebonyi people is great
