Enugu: Unknown gunmen attack police checkpoint, kill 2 officers

Two policemen have been feared killed on Thursday morning when unknown gunmen attacked policemen on-stop-and -search, operation, around Gariki area in Enugu State.
The two policemen paid the supreme price during a gun battle with gunmen, an eyewitness told our Correspondent.
According to the source, the masked gunmen stormed MTD area, at Gariki roundabout, engaged the policemen.
They first shot sporadically to scare people aware, it was gathered.
The State Police Public Relation Officer, Daniel Ndukwe confirmed the attack.
