Eze Mbah emerges Chairman of Abia Traditional Rulers Council
Abia State governor, Dr Alex Otti, has appointed new principal officers for the State’s Traditional Rulers Council, with His Royal Highness (HRH), Eze Linus Nto Mbah (LINTO), as its Chairman.
Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Prince Uzor Nwachukwu, who revealed this in a statement on Friday, August 11, 2023, added that other appointed principal officers include HRH Eze Nelson Nmerengwa (First Deputy), HRH Eze Franklin O. Nwosu (Second Deputy) and HRH Eze Uwakwe Ukaegbu (Third Deputy).
Nwachukwu explained that Governor Otti approved the reconstitution of the State Traditional Rulers Council following the expiration of the tenure of the outgoing principal officers.
The Commissioner said that the Local Government Councils of Ndi-Eze were expected to conduct their elections within one month, in line with established guidelines and submit the list of the elected officers to his Ministry.
According to him, “His Excellency, Dr Alex Otti, expresses his gratitude to the outgoing principal officers for their services to the State.”
