Falconets trash Senegal 7-2 aggregate to qualify for FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup in 2022
Nigeria’s Under-20 female national football team, the Super Falconets have qualified for the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup after beating their Senegal counterparts by 4-1 in Benin.
The Falconets thrashed their Senegalese counterparts 4-1, qualifying by a 7-2 aggregate scoreline having earlier defeated them by 3-1 in the first leg played in Dakar.
The FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup will be hosted by Costa Rica later in the year, 2022
The match which was played, Saturday afternoon, inside the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City featured two goals from Sabastine 7′ 20′, Onyenezide (via penalty) 25′ , and Joy Jerry 89′.
Senegal reduced the deficit through Ndiaye (via penalty) in the 45th minute.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Governor of Edo State Philip Shaibu gave Falconets the sum of N21 million in appreciation of their performance.
