Federal Polytechnic, Isuochi, gets NBTE’s approval to commence academic activities, offer 6 programmes

All is now set for the formal take-off of Federal Polytechnic, Isuochi in Umunneochi local government area of Abia State, following the National Board of Technical Education’s (NBTE) approval for the institution to commence academic activities with six programmes.
The six approved programmes by the Board include: Computer Engineering Technology, Statistics, Science laboratory Technology, Computer Science, Accountancy, as well as Business Administration and Management which are to be offered at the National Diploma (ND) level.
The recognition to Institutional Administration and the approval to commence the six Programmes are contained in two separate letters addressed to the Rector of Federal Polytechnic, Isuochi, dated January14, 2025 and duly signed by the Director, Polytechnic Programmes Department, Dr Mrs Fatima Kabir Umar, for the Executive Secretary of the Board.
The letters made it clear that the approvals followed the Resource Inspection Visitation made to the institution from 7 – 10 January, 2025 by the team from NBTE.
According to the Board, admission into the Polytechnic is expected to commence with 2024/2025 academic session with the already approved six courses.
