FIFA 2022 WCQ: Nigeria set to host CAR in Lagos, as Rohr invites 23 players
Head Coach of Super Eagles, Gernot Rohr has unveiled his list of 23 players to face the Central African Republic (CAR) in the third round of matches ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in the African qualifiers.
The match billed for the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos, on Thursday, October 7 with the return leg fixed for three days later in Douala, the Cameroun city.
Ahead of the fixture, the invited 23 players are billed to begin arriving the country for camping and preparations immediately after this weekend’s European league fixtures.
Rohr’s 23 invitees includes new faces like Brentford FC of England’s Frank Onyeka, as well as returnees like Samuel Kalu of FC Bordeaux, and Moses Simon of FC Nantes, both in France.
