Finally, APC Anambra congratulates Soludo
All Progressives Congress (APC), Anambra Chapter, has congratulated winner of the state just-concluded governorship election in the state, Professor Charles Soludo.
A congratulatory message by the Anambra chapter’s Publicity Secretary of the APC, Okelue Madukaife while when he appeared on AriseTV’s programme ‘Arise Interview,’ said the party congratulates Soludo on his victory but was quick to add that APC will be holding him accountable ‘in the most civil manner to ensure that he lives up to the promises made to Ndi Anambra.’
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had last Tuesday, declared the candidate of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) winner of the governorship election held from November 6 to 7 in Anambra.
Madukaife went further to thank the security agencies for their efforts in ensuring a smooth conduct of the exercise, even as he condemned the non conduct of local government elections in the state since 2009 (except in 2013 and 2014) and assured that their advocacy for the conduct of local government elections in the state will continue.
The state chapter had earlier, Monday, rejected the results of the elections even while it was still ongoing, a statement which was later refuted by the same chapter of the party.
