Foundation assures on greater commitment to uplifting lives, fostering community spirit in 2025

The Abig Nwankwo Foundation has promised to widen its scope of humanitarian activities in 2025to be able to impact more lives and foster community spirit.
Chairman of Bigly Group, Chief Sir Abig Nwankwo, who is also the founder of Abig Nwankwo Foundation, made the promise during the grand finale of the Foundation’s annual football competition held in Okija, Anambra State.
The thrilling grand finale which drew dignitaries from across the South East, brought to an end, the Foundation’s programmes lined up for 2024.
Chief Okonkwo promised that in 2025, the foundation would expand its life-transforming programmes in critical areas to affect more people positively.
“As we gear up for 2025, we remain committed to impactful projects in education, sports, health, and women empowerment,” he said, adding “together, we can achieve even more for our communities and pave the way for a brighter future.”
The distinguished son of Okija explained that the Abig Nwankwo Foundation has consistently undertaken transformative projects aimed at empowering the youth, developing the women and improving healthcare and education.
“These efforts underscore the Foundation’s mission to uplift lives and create sustainable growth within communities,” the philanthropist explained.
According to him, the football tournament component of the humanitarian gesture of the Foundation was designed to empower the youth, foster community spirit and discover emerging talents, stressing that “it is a key initiative by the Foundation to demonstrate its commitment to community development.”
The final match attracted notable dignitaries, including renowned entrepreneur and Chairman of Cubana Group, Chief Obinna Iyiegbu; supporters and guests from across the Southeast who came to also honor the organizer, Chief Sir Abig Nwankwo.
An elated Chief Nwankwo described the event as a remarkable milestone which reminded him of the goal for initiating the football competition. “The grand finale of this football tournament is a celebration of teamwork, talent, and community spirit. Watching the incredible energy displayed on the field and the passion from the crowd reminded me why we started this initiative,” he said.
Chief Nwankwo, while congratulating all the teams that participated in the tournament said:”Congratulations to every team for their well-deserved victories and for giving us unforgettable moments on the field.
