FRSC confirms two deaths in Anambra road accident

Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has confirmed the death of two persons in a road accident that occurred along Ogbunike Hill in Onitsha, Anambra State on Tuesday.
The accident, it was gathered, involved an ash coloured Toyota Corolla car which rammed into a stationary truck.
Four men were in the car but two died on the spot.
The other two came out of the car unhurt.
A report from the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) said the ash coloured Toyota Corola marked HTE 365 CU smashed into a red (Howo Tipper) with no registration number.
The cause of the fatal crash was linked to Road Obstruction (OBS) and excessive speed.
It was further gathered that the dead victims were taken by their families, while the FRSC rescue team which took over the area controlled the traffic and battled angry crowd who attempted to burn the truck.
The Sector Commander of the Adeoye Irelewuyi has commiserated with the families of the dead victims, urged motorists to maintain safe speed limits.
He further enjoined them to ensure their vehicles were in good condition before using them and obey traffics rules.
