
GAME for Hope Foundation empowers youths with ArtEx Grant

Non-profit group, the GAME for Hope Foundation, has accomplished its annual charity grants and sundry charity obligations to beneficiaries for the year, supporting two artisans in training with cash grants.
The foundations ArtEx Grant awards was held in partnership with the Johnbosco Institute of Technology, Obosi, in Anambra State weekend as key part of the mission to empower less privileged youths in the country with education and mentorship as the strong foundation they require to overcome life’s challenges and ultimately become successful.
The two outstanding awards for the year were given to Ms Esiobu Chisikamdi Vivian and Joseph Edet Ekpenyong who went home with cash grants of N350, 000 and N200, 000 respectively.
According to the foundation, the award recognized exceptional talent and commitment, and indicated the potentials of the beneficiaries for hard work.
In delivering the keynote address at the event, Chief Ekene Nweke, paid tribute to Mrs. Jennifer Obiajulu-Ugorji, Miss Yetunde Pearse and Miss Vivian Obiajulu who are the trustees of the GAME For Hope Foundation.

He said the vision GAME For Hope Foundation is to be the forerunner in promoting access to quality education and economic empowerment for the underserved Nigerian youth. He added that the goal is to building a nation where “every underserved individual thrives with confidence, opportunity, and hope for a better future.”
The Oracle reports that foundation’s name is derived from its goals of Giving, Amusing, Mentoring, and Educating (GAME) which culminated in various outreach programs one of which is the Artisan Experience program, also called ArtEx.
Chief Nweke stated that the ArtEx Grant is core to the foundation’s programmes and is also specifically designed to assist and empower economically disadvantaged artisans and artisans-in-training, with financial aid to support their economic growth and progression.
“For us, it’s about recognizing the immense talent and potential within the young artisan community and providing the springboard they need to flourish,” he declared at the event.
He paid compliments to the Johnbosco Institute of Technology, Obosi; and the Rector, Fr. Christopher E. Anso SDB, for providing partnership, commitment and support to the programme.
He also commended all applicants for the awards on their diligence, dedication, boldness, courage, determination and passion in pursuit if their dreams.
“And that in itself is a victory. That spirit is your most powerful tool,” he cheered.
In congratulating the awardees, Chief Nweke urged them not rest in pursuit of their life goals but deploy the grant appropriately as fuel to “ignite an even greater desire to push for more, to learn more, and to achieve more.”
He pledged sustainability of the programme, promising “all the students here today” embrace every opportunity, learn from every setback, and always keep that flame of hope burning within.
