Ganduje receives Anyim, other political bigwigs into APC in Ebonyi

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, Saturday, received former Senate President and Secretary to the Federation, Senator Anyim Pius in the APC.
Anyim and other Political bigwigs from the PDP, LP and APGA were received by the APC national chairman at Pa Ngele Oruta Township Stadium, Abakaliki, during the APC campaign Grand finale for the forthcoming LG Elections campaign in the State.
Anyim in his speech read out what he termed the resolution of the leaders of Ebonyi State, stating that the leaders had resolved to collapse other political parties into the fold of the APC, support the state Governor.
Anyim thanked the APC National Chairman Umar Ganduje for coming to receive them in Ebonyi.
“We are here to assure and reassure you that Ebonyi is united under one party.
“The people of Ebonyi have resolved to collaborate with Gov. Francis Nwifuru and Minister of Works, Sen David Umahi to scale up our support for President Bola Tinubu “
“It is not about me, it is about Ebonyi people. We consulted before making this move”, Anyim said.
Among those received into the APC fold by the National Chairman during the event include: a term Senator and 2023 PDP Governorship Aspirant, Senator Obinna Ogba, a two-term House of Representatives member, Livunus Makwe; former two-term House of Assembly member, Hon. Oliver Osi and Aja Nwabueze, who served as the Deputy governorship candidate of the Labour Party, LP, in the 2023 general election in the state.
Former members of the State House of Assembly, Hon Chris Usulor, Hon Chidi Ejem, Victor Chukwu also formally declared for the APC.
Other leaders and members of the Labour Party including Edward Nkwegu former Labour Party candidate in Ebonyi also joined the APC in Ebonyi, and leaders of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, in Ebonyi also joined the party.
The Minister of Works and immediate past governor of Ebonyi State, said Nwifuru had consolidated the dreams of Ebonyi Founding Fathers by bringing leaders of the state together.
He said they would continue to canvas for members until the entire southeast becomes an APC zone.
