Gov. Obaseki appoints Okungbowa as Chief Press Secretary
Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has appointed Mr Andrew Okungbowa as his new Chief Press Secretary.
The appointment, made public, Tuesday, in a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Osarodion Ogie, is with immediate effect.
Okungbowa formerly the Travel and Tourism Editor at the New Telegraph newspaper, was also an ex-president to the Association of Nigerian Journalists and Writers of Tourism (ANJET).
“The Edo state governor, Godwin Obaseki, has approved the appointment of Andrew Okungbowa as his chief press secretary,” the statement dated July 25, 2023 read.
Okungbowa holds a first degree in Theatre Arts from the University of Benin (UNIBEN) in addition to a Master’s degree in English from the University of Lagos (UNILAG), Akoka.
He also operates a private media and event promotion outfit, Iroandy Communications Limited. Okungbowa is the Managing Director/Editor-in-Chief, eglobalnetworks.com.
