Gov Otti at 4th Quadrennial Session of Seventh-Day Adventist Church
Earlier Saturday, December 14th, Governor of Abia State ,Dr. Alex Otti, OFR, and his wife, Priscilla Chidimma Otti worshipped at the Aba North Conference Headquarters of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Uhum, Isiala Ngwa South LGA.
The worship coincided with the conclusion of the 4th Quadrennial Session and consecration of Principal Officers and Executive Officers elected to lead the Conference.
Addressing the congregation, Governor Otti congratulated the elected Officers and urged them to watch and be mindful of what they do, noting that people are watching their actions and not what they are saying.
He advised them to have a written vision of what they want to achieve and always do a review to ensure that they are in line with the vision. He reminded the Officers that they have been chosen to serve and not to pursue personal aggrandizement. He prayed God to grant them the enablement to succeed in their roles.
Earlier in his Sermon, The President of the Eastern Nigeria Union Conference (ENUC) of the Seventh-Day Adventist, Pastor (Dr.) Bassey Udoh called on believers to use what God has blessed them with to serve Him, sighting the Example of Hannah in 1 Samuel 2, who asked God for the gift of a child with a vow to give the child back as a sacrifice to serve in God’s vineyard. He also called on the congregation to imbibe the spirit of thanksgiving, describing thanksgiving as “application for more”.
Pastor Udoh commended Governor Otti for his contributions alongside Elder Deji Adeleke in ensuring that Clifford University succeeds. He prayed for the Governor, his entourage and the State.
