Gunmen raze FRSC, DSS offices in Nnewi

Unconfirmed reports claim the offices of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and Department of State Security Services (DSS) in Nnewi, Nnewi North Local council area in Anambra State, have been set ablaze by unknown gunmen.
The operational vehicles at the two offices were reportedly burnt.
Number of casualties in the attacks could not be immediately ascertained, but an eyewitness said some persons were killed in the attacks.
The attackers, it was learnt, stormed the facilities in four Sport Utility Vehicles (SUVs) and perpetrated the heinous crime while shooting sporadically.
The attacks, it was gathered, took place at about 1pm on Sunday.
“At about 1300hrs unknown gunmen stormed FRSC Nnewi Unit Command, attack the office and set the building on fire.
“DSS Office Nnewi North was also set ablaze. They also attacked the resident of Dr. Okongwu where patrol vehicles are parked for safe keeping,” a security source told our Correspondent.
