IGP directs immediate redeployment of 12 newly approved PCs to states
Inspector General of Police (IGP) has directed the immediate deployment of the 12 police commissioners approved by the Police Service Commission (PSC) barely 24 hours ago.
It would be recalled that the PSC had, Wednesday, approved the appointment of 12 new State Commissioners of Police to different their various commands in the country.
It would be recalled that the Chairman of the Commission, Dr. Solomon Arase, had charged the new police commissioners on greater dedication to national duty from the new State Command Commissioners, while also noting that the new posting comes with a lot of commitment and innovativeness and demand of them total loyalty to the Nigerian nation.
According to Arase, the PSC ‘will monitor their stewardship in their various State Commands and ensure that they do not derail from established rules and regulations.’
Meanwhile, directing the immediate redeployment of the police commissioners, IGP Baba, Thursday, tasked the senior police officers to proceed immediately to their respective duty posts and take charge of the affairs of their offices, and execute the policing agenda of the Force leadership.
The newly posted Commissioners of Police include; CPs Mohammed Usaini Gumel – Kano State Command; Haruna Gabriel Garba – FCT Command Abuja; Tajudeen A. Abass – Delta State Command; Oladimeji Yomi Olarewaju – Ogun State Command; Taiwo Jesubiyi – Ondo State Command; Julius A. Okoro – Benue State Command; Romokere Ibiani – Bayelsa State Command; Mohammed Bunu – Yobe State Command; Garba Musa Yusuf – Kaduna State Command; Garba Ahmed – Zamfara State Command; Hayatu Kaigama Ali – Sokoto State Command; and Aliyu Musa – Katsina State Command.
