Ikpeazu hails 22yr reign of Eze Nwabeke as Abia Traditional Rulers Council, as monarch celebrates 70th birthday

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has felicitated with the Chairman, Abia State Council of Traditional Rulers and Traditional Ruler of Eziama Ntigha Autonomous Community, HRM Eze Joseph Ndubuisi Nwabeke, on the celebration of his 70th birthday and 22nd years on the throne.
The Governor made his feelings known at the Eze Amara palace of the Royal Father during the celebration of his 70th birthday and 22nd year on the throne in Obingwa Village of Eziama Ntigha, Isialangwa North LGA.
Ikpeazu said he was happy to share in Monarch’s moment of joy, saying that attaining 70 years was not a mean feat, especially now that life expectancy in Nigeria was reducing constantly.
“Celebrating 70 years and 22 years on the throne in good health is something to thank God for.” The Governor said; and prayed that God would continue to guide and guard the royal father as he ages gracefully.
Governor Ikpeazu used the occasion to thank the people of Ntigha for their support and love for him since 2015 and promised to systematically address some of the problems confronting the community.
To that end, the Governor advised them to set up Works Committee to be chaired by the member representing Isialangwa North State Constituency, Chief Ginger Onwusibe, to come up with strategies to manage some of the pressing problems, especially the roads.
In his remarks, the Chairman of the occasion and a former Deputy Governor of the state, Rt Hon. Eric Acho Nwakanma, described the celebrations as evidence of God’s love for the Royal Father and the people, especially for leading him through his 70th years on earth and 22nd years on the throne.
He said that the Eziama Ntigha Community was one of the most peaceful communities in Abia State and prayed God to grant him more fruitful years ahead and sustain the peace in his kingdom.
Presenting an address on behalf of the Ntigha people, the Chairman, Organizing Committee, Nze Moses Nwogwugwu, thanked the Governor for finding Eze Ndubuisi Nwabeke fit to lead Abia State Traditional Rulers Council at this time and described the occasion as a double celebration.
He assured that the community would continue to support the development-oriented administration of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu and congratulated the celebrant.
The event featured the conferment of the chieftaincy title of “Ikoro Ukwu Abia” on the Governor by Eze Nwabeke, presentation of gifts to the Governor by the first son of the celebrant, Prince Chingoziri Nwabeke.
