Imo Senator, Ibezim tackles food production in constituency

Improved good production has engaged the attention of the Distinguished Senator, representing Okigwe Zone in the National Assembly, Sir Frank Ibezim.
Determined to uplift the economy of his constituency through increased agricultural and food production, Ibexim recently distributed improved seedlings and fertilizers to farmers in his district.
“As we face the year’s farming period, we have successfully distributed seedlings to over 250 farmers in all the six local governments of Imo North district after giving a workshop program on how to achieve maximum agricultural yields, this we carried out at the National Open University campus, Ehime Mbano Local Government Area,” he said, adding that his commitment to improving the economy of Okigwe Zone had remained unrelenting.
“We didn’t just stop there, we also went ahead to distribute bags of fertilizers to farmers in our zone to assist in enhancing productivity of their agricultural proceeds.
“It’s my hope and prayer that these new steps targeted at increasing the availability of agricultural products and food in our zone achieve maximum impact.”
Ibezim has not stopped amazing his constituents with his highly impactful projects towards improving the lot of the people of Okigwe Zone, also called Imo North, since he assumed his seat in the Senate since April last year.
