Nigeria’s Super Eagles have lost their first post-Covid match in 2020 to the Desert Foxes of Algeria by a lone goal.
The match played at the Worthersee Stadion, Klagenfurt in Austria, Friday evening, saw the Super Eagles conceding as early as the 8th minute through a Ramy Bensebaini strike for the defending African Champions.
Reacting to the loss, Super eagles coach Gernot Rohr, said: “This is a very good test for us. There are positives to pick from a tough game like this. Now we have to recover well and start to plan for the next game on Tuesday against another tough team.”
Next and final match in the first International break’s friendly is scheduled for the Jacques Lemans Arena, in Sankt Veit an der Glan, in the southern Austrian state of Carinthia, next Tuesday, October 13 against the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia.
