Int’l friendly: Super Eagles held 1-1 against Tunisia

Super Eagles were, Tuesday night held to a 1-1 draw in the last of the two-match international friendly break played at the Jacques Lemans Arena in An Der Glan, in Austria.

The match follows Sunday’s 0-1 loss to the defending African champions, the Desert Foxes of Algeria, also played in Austria.

Tuesday night’s encounter saw the Super Eagles and Leicester City FC of England’s forward, kelechi Iheanacho putting his team ahead with a first half goal.

Team line for Tuesday’s match

Iheanacho had a chance to double the lead when captain Ahmed Musa was felled in the box for a penalty, but missed the effort.

Tunisia’s Drajer Mohammed with the goal for the Carthage Eagles made them pay with an equalizer just before half time to end the half at 1-1.

The Eagles started strongly and should have had a comfortable lead but a moment of poor defending which left finishing the game all square.
