Israeli forces find guns, grenades behind MRI scanner in Gaza hospital
The Israeli Defence Forces (IDF)declared yesterday that its soldiers found an AK47 rifles and grenades hidden behind an MRI scanner during a raid on the Al Shifa hospital.
The findings which were displayed in photographs and unedited body camera videos vindicate the claims by the Israeli government that the HAMAS terrorist groups adopts the strategy of hiding in the midst of vulnerable crowds to evade strikes from enemy forces.
Spokesman for the Israeli Defense Force (IDF), Lieutenant Colonel Jonathan Conricus, exhibited the weapons he claimed belonged to Hamas in video footage taken inside the hospital.
Other pictures show guns, ammunition and body armour which the IDF said were also found in the raid by its elite Shaldag unit and 36th division.
“These findings unequivocally prove that the hospital was used for terror, in complete violation of international law,” spokesman Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari said.
The Hamas-run health ministry in Gaza has denied the claims, saying no weapons were found in the raid.
