ITPN tasks newly-inducted Fellows with exemplary character, professional excellence

Institute for Tourism Professionals of Nigeria (ITPN) has charged its newly-inducted Fellows to remain good ambassadors of the school by living up to the institution’s ideals and principles geared towards promoting professional excellence.

This is just as the institute further tasked the new inductees with continually exhibiting a high level of discipline and exemplary leadership traits in all their conducts at all times.
Giving the charge, Tuesday, during the prestigious induction ceremony of the institute for over 20 new Fellows, which held at the NAF Conference Centre in Abuja, National President of ITPN, Chief Abiodun Odusanwo, noted that the occasion marks a significant milestone in recognition of the valuable contributions of the inductees within the travel tourism, hospitality and allied trades of the industry sector.
According to Chief Odusanwo, remarking while welcoming the new Fellows, ITPN selected the fresh inductees strictly based on professionalism, in addition to their demonstration of exceptional commitment to advancing the industry’s cause in Nigeria.
Continuing, the ITPN President stressed that the process of selection of the inductees further highlights the importance of collaborative engagements, technological innovation, sustainable tourism practices and harmonious working relationships among industry stakeholders in fostering the desired growth and development of the sector.
“ITPN is pleased to welcome such a talented group of individuals into the esteemed fellowship of the Institute.
“The selection of each and every one of the fellow was based on professionalism, demonstration of exceptional commitment to advancing the field of tourism and undeniable contributions to enriching the industry for the nation’s socio-economic growth and development.
“The newly-inducted Fellows who represent diverse areas of expertise and professional callings, reflect a commitment to professional excellence in the tourism industry and their induction further exemplifies the Institute’s mission to enhance professional development and strengthen the integrity of tourism practices nationwide,” Odusanwo stated.
The ITPN President further disclosed that the new Fellows were selected based on their outstanding achievements, leadership qualities and dedication to the highest standards of practice within the tourism industry.
He, therefore, called on them to continue to live by the qualities that qualified them to be honoured and conferred with the Fellowship of the Institute.
The Fellows are drawn from practitioners in both the public and private sectors of the industry, including; Diirectors of the Nigerian Tourism Development Authority (NTDA), captains of tourism and hospitality industry in the Organised Private Sector (OPS), as well as, retired practitioners from the public sector, who have contributed immensely, and are still actively involved in its growth and development in Nigeria.
Attendees at the induction ceremony had the opportunity to network with industry leaders, engage in thought-provoking discussions and celebrate the accomplishments of the new Fellows which underscores the importance of continued professional development and networking within the tourism industry, while also encouraging collaboration to tackle the evolving challenges facing the sector.
As part of their Fellowship, the new members will have access to exclusive resources, including professional development opportunities, mentoring programs and industry insights, ensuring they remain at the forefront of tourism innovation and industry best practices.
