Lagos tops, as NCDC confirms 29 new cases of Covid-19 in six states
Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (NCDC) has confirmed 29 new cases of the corona virus disease (Covid-19) in six states of the country.
The cases were detected between January 7 and 13, this year.
According to the NCDC, the affected states with the confirmed COVID-19 cases are: Lagos (15); FCT (5); Kano (4); Nasarawa (3); Kaduna (1) and Plateau (1).
“From 7th to 13th January 2023, 29 new confirmed cases were recorded in Nigeria … A multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at Level 2, continues to coordinate the national response activities,” the NCDC said in a statement, Sunday.
With the latest figure, 266,492 cases have been confirmed in the country to date. 259,858 cases discharged and 3,155 deaths recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
