LCCI, LBS sign MoU on industrial research projects
On March 6th, 2024, the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Lagos Business School (LBS) to develop and offer industry research projects and capacity building programs that will drive policy advocacy and solve industry needs.
The Dean of the LBS, Professor Chris Ogbechie, was delighted about the prospects of the partnership with LCCI. This partnership, he said, will also lead to the development of customized capacity and executive development programs that will propel industrial growth and advancement in Nigeria.
Speaking at the occasion, the Director-General of the LCCI, Dr. Chinyere Almona, FCA, expressed her optimism about the success of the programs that will be derived from the partnership.
“In this era of globalization and interdependence, cooperative partnerships between institutions of excellence around the world are an ever-increasing necessity. No single institution, no matter how large or well-endowed, can address future challenges alone’ she remarked.
The meeting also had other representatives of both organizations in attendance including the Director, of Business Education Services and Training (BEST), LCCI, Dr. Taiwo Nolas-Alausa, the Senior Manager, Business Development, BEST, LCCI, Mrs. Adedoyin Ekundayo, the Director, Executive Education, LBS, Mr. Victor Banjo, the Chief Marketing Officer, LCCI, Mrs. Nsima Ogedi-Alakwe, and the Custom Executive Education team, LCCI, Mr. Edward Idigo.
