The Chairman of the Local Government Service Commission, Darlington Bassey Eyo, has expressed admiration for the newly constructed state-of-the-art office complex for the commission.
The facility which was initiated almost ten years ago was later abandoned and became home to all sorts of reptiles.
However, the Senator Bassey Otu administration completed the facility with the hope to help boost staff productivity and enhance operational efficiency within the local government system.
Speaking while inspecting the complex, Eyo described the architectural edifice as a “wake-up call to boost the motivation of the workforce.”
He commended Governor Otu for remarkable strides in infrastructural development, citing projects like the remodeled Governor’s office, State Library complex, and reactivation of the Garment factory.
Also speaking, Chief Bassey Okosin, State Chairman of the Association of Pensioners, thanked Governor Otu for the initiative, noting a significant turnaround in the state since his administration took office.
The commission plans to soon commence official administrative activities in the new office complex, leveraging the facility to enhance operations and deliver better services to the people of Cross River State.
