Man bags 21yrs in jail for defiling own daughter
Lagos Special Offences Court, sitting in Ikeja, has sentenced a 52-year-old man, Akin Isaac, to 21 years imprisonment for defiling his 18 year-old daughter, in addition to aborting her pregnancy for 12 years.
According to reports, the offender started having intercourse with his daughter when she was six years old.
Following the convict’s April 21 plea bargain application, Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo sentenced him to 21 years in jail.
Justice Taiwo said, “In view of the guilty plea of the defendant to one count of defilement, I hereby find the defendant guilty as charged.”
Following his conviction, the court then asked the defendant whether he had anything to say. The prisoner begged for forgiveness while on his knees in the dock, saying that he needed to care for his elderly mother.
