My developmental strides are yielding fruits – Gov. Ayade
From Aniekan Aniekan, Calabar
The Governor of Cross River State, Prof. Ben Ayade says his developmental efforts over the years are yielding fruits and that the state will reap from his investments.
Ayade ,who stated this in Ogoja, Northern Cross River ,during the grand finale of this year’s Northern Cross River Cultural Festival (Northfest), promised the people that no stone will be left unturned in his determination to develop Cross River State.
“All my developmental efforts in ensuring that the state is placed on a sound economic footing before my exit from power are yielding fruits . The state will in the near future, reap bountifully from these investment opportunities created since 2015 when I mounted the saddle of leadership in the state.
“No stone will be left unturned in my avowed zeal and determination to create the enabling environment for industrialization to thrive in Cross River State.
“Always put our state first in the scheme of things as this is the only way genuine and lasting progress will be made across the nooks and cranny of the state”, the governor said.
He said even in the midst of dwindling capital receipts from the Federation Accounts and low internally generated revenue base, his administration has been able to prove some viable points in the political, social and economic spheres of the state.
He affirmed that Northfest will outlive his eight-year administration and continue to draw global and national investors to the many opportunities created for both the people and the raw material components of the northern Cross River extraction.
He added that the attention of the whole nation is now been turned to Cross River North as it has been largely proved to be one of the undisputed food baskets not only in Nigeria but also across the West African sub-region.
The colourful closing ceremony had many interesting side attractions such as performances by upcoming music Artists, Wrestling Competition, eating competition and very sonorous welcome song by Destiny Kids and massive purchase of Agro based produce.
