Nation Building: Don’t give up on your quest for a better society – AMORC
From Aniekan Aniekan, Clabar
The Rosicrucian Order – AMORC has charged Nigerians not to give up on their quest to do good and not let others stop their desire to do right.
Fr. Eugenius Idiodi, Grand Administrator, English West Africa Administration disclosed this in Calabar during the 47th Eastern Regional Rotational Conclave: Calabar 2023.
This year’s event had as theme: Practical Rosicrucian Tools for Nation Building.
He advised all to take responsibility because we are all leaders and hope starts with each of us.
“Don’t give up in your quest to do good and also don’t don’t let others break your resolve to do right.
“Practice what is preached and ensure you take responsibility because all of us are leaders.
“We have to start impacting society and be courageous enough to stop people from being disorderly.
“Make your home a reflection of what you want the country to be, start with yourselves and home and see hope return to Nigeria”, he said.
He said we have to build our nation around God, self reliance contemplative reflection and always realise that inside of us we have what it takes to make our own lives our homes.
Also speaking, Fr. Dr. Kenneth Idiodi, the Honorary Grand Master
attributed the present challenges faced by the country to the collective irresponsibility of its people.
In addition, the organisation attributes our present problems to the violation of rules and regulations.
In his words, “”When you violate these laws and regulations, you must accept responsibility for it and pay the price for our individual and collective misdimenour.
“We must stop the blame game and realise that we have the fundamental obligation and responsibility to go by the law.
“When we lack the capacity to maintain roads, bridges, and don’t have a maintenance culture, we are irresponsible and our collective irresponsibility brings these things about”, he said.
On his part, Fr. Anthony Okorie the keynote speaker said we are in this mess together and rather than trade blames we should cure ourselves together.
Earlier, Fr. John Omori, the chairman of the 47th Eastern Regional Conclave in his welcome address said the Conclave like other Rosicrucian events is put together to share knowledge and wisdom.
This he added will enable man to live in harmony with the creative, constructive forces of the universe for health, happiness and peace.
He added that “We are in a challenging time in Nation building and all tools must be deployed practically to build back our nation”.
