Following reports by air travelers of rejection of their Coronavirus disease (Covid-19) negative results by international carriers departing from the country, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), Thursday, released a list of its accredited Fee Paying Private Laboratories.

The private laboratories, according to NCDC, have been accredited to conduct Covid-19 tests and issue certificates as travel documents for intending outbound international passengers.

The 16 medical facilities accredited to handle Covid-19 samples are spread over Lagos, Edo, Imo states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

“We‘ve received complaints from passengers departing Nigeria, that airlines are rejecting #COVID19 negative results from some accredited private labs. This should not be the case.
