Nigerian soccer talent pops in Europe, grabs London Golden Boot

Abia State born Nigerian footballer, Kester Chizimuzo Ody-Anumba, has caused an upset in the in Thurlow Football League, London, United Kingdom; adding to the list of young talented Nigerians who fly the country’s flag high on the international stage.
Twenty-two year old Kester who plays for Pegasus Football Club, Colchester, England, popped up in the talent chart after he emerged top scorer in the English football league.
With the feat, Kester emerged to seize the coveted Golden Boot Award for the 2023/2024 football season and was decorated with Golden Boot Winner of the football season at the just concluded Award Ceremony held at Colchester Rugby Club in Colchester, Essex, London, United Kingdom,
Club Manager, Mr. Tom Poole, declared that “Kester is a hot prospect for professional league clubs in Europe.”
Highly excited Kester said “My ambition is to play for Chelsea and Nigeria.”
In pointing at Nigeria’s relentless efforts to grab the FIFA World Cup, Kester expressed optimism that the country would soon mount the podium with the trophy. He also expressed his desire to be part of the team that would realize the dream for the country.
“I want to be in the team that will win the World Cup for Nigeria,” he enthused.
In reacting to the award, Kester’s father, Chief Ody Anumba, who witnessed the ceremony, stated his desire for his son to participate in boosting the capabilities of the Nigerian Super Eagles with renewed talents.
He stated that the Super Eagles of Nigeria currently needs the skills, abilities and competencies of the younger generation of football talents. He prayed that handlers of the Super Eagles and football administrators in the country would continue to seek out and harness upcoming talents like Kester.
“I am looking forward to his skills, abilities and competencies in the game of football arresting the attention of the handlers of the Super Eagles of Nigeria,” he declared at the event which pooled global soccer enthusiasts and talent hunters.
