Nigeria’s biggest gas processing company, the Nigerian Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG) Limited, is working on processes for seamless flow of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) also called cooking gas to the domestic market.
The company stated weekend that it is working closely with stakeholders to improve the supply of the domestic fuel to the economy.
Spokesman for the company, Dr Sophia Horsfall, stated that the move is in line with NLNG’s continuous improvement culture.
At an engagement session with stakeholders in Lagos, NLNG highlighted that part of the improvement would entail digitalization of some processes including a new platform designed to streamline regulatory processes, optimize risk management, and enhance the buyer experience.
The platform, the company stated, would feature IT-supported relationship management, automated issue resolution, centralized real-time payments, and improved case management systems. It said the process enhancement would ensure a seamless flow of supply despite market shifts and external pressures.
Manager in charge of Commercial Contract Management, Tolulope Longe, reiterated that the planned improvements would enable NLNG deliver 100 percent of its LPG supply to the Nigerian market.
She said a strategic roadmap was in place to ensure the achievement of NLNG’s longstanding goals to make LPG accessible and available in the country, and align with the vision of being a globally competitive energy company that improves lives sustainably.
She also harped on the significance of the improvement initiatives and the company’s push for LPG utilization as a clean energy source alternative to kerosene and other fossil fuels.
Longe noted that the Company remained focused on growth and sustainability of the LPG market by continuously enhancing its supply processes in collaboration with offtakers.
She stressed NLNG’s commitment to collaborating with stakeholders to maintain pricing stability and long-term market viability. She noted the importance of operational efficiency in meeting market demands despite prevailing concerns in the industry.
“NLNG aims to strengthen stakeholder engagement and improve market efficiency in the LPG sector through enhanced customer interactions, minimized schedule disruptions, timely confirmations and deliveries, and prioritization of customers with demonstrable capacity. As it adapts to market realities, NLNG remains committed to driving sustainability and delivering lasting value to Nigerians,” the company stated.
