“That’s why I’m retiring today with no extension. I have told other civil servants that once you retirement, you must go.
“My greatest achievement is the review of the Cross River State Civil and Public Service Rules as directed by the governor”, he said.
The outgoing Head of Service also listed the successful implementation of the new minimum wage in the state, payment of gratuities and the ongoing recruitment of civil servants and the ongoing recruitment of about 2,000 workers.
Dr. Eteng tasked the incoming Head of Service, Orok Okon to surpass his achievements, ensure the service stands out and keys into the vision of the governor.
He also thanked the state governor for appointing Orok Okon as his successor saying having worked with him, he has no doubts about his capacity to undertake the assignment.
