Nothing compares to joy of witnessing one’s child’s wedding- Chukwu

Former national team captain and coach, Christian Chukwu, whose first daughter, Barrister Adaora wedded her heartthrob, Engineer Chukwunwike Ndibe, on Saturday at the Dominion City Headquarters, Golden Heart Place, Lekki-Epe Expressway, Lagos has sensationally declared that ‘there nothing to compare to the joy of a father witnessing the marriage of his daughter or son’.

Chukwu, made the declaration when he exclusively spoke to the Oracle Today Sports at the epoch making event on Saturday at the Dominion City Headquarters even as he expressed gratitude to God for granting him the opportunity of witnessing the weeding of his beloved daughter, Barrister Adaora Ndibe (Nee Christian Chukwu).

“I must confess to you that I am filled with happiness. As a matter of fact, I am filled with joy seeing my first daughter wed her husband (Chuwunwike Ndibe) today,” Chukwu began.

“Of course this is white wedding or church wedding as people chose to call it. The traditional wedding had already been conducted in my country home of Umuikeowo Village, Obe, Nkanu West Local Government Area of Enugu State last Saturday, November 10th, 2018.

“There is nothing to compare to the joy in my heart, witnessing my lovely daughter’s wedding. I fell fulfilled.

“It is a rare privilege for me to have joined the league of fathers that witnessed their daughters’ wedding. It is not all father have this rare privilege. So I am grateful to God for this rare opportunity.

“It is awesome. It is wonderful I must tell you.

“M joy knows no bound. My prayer for them is to have blissful married life. I wish them peace, love, God’s protection, fruitfulness and God’s abundant grace and the resources to maintain themselves and their offspring as they begin their journey in married life in Jesus name…Amen,” Chukwu prayed.

Meanwhile, the man of God who conducted the wedding ceremony, Pastor Ebube Ndibe, took his time to school the newly-weds on the art of marriage; advising them to be tolerant of each other as there is no perfect man or woman.

He advised them not to allow third party into their challenges as two of them are the only people capable of resolving their marital challenges.

Pastor Ndibe also advised both parents to stay clear of the young couples to enable them make their mistakes and correct them without the interference of a third party.

Speaking during the reception at Piccadilly Suites, the chairman of occasion admonished  Chukwunwike, an engineer and Adaora Ndibe, a lawyer to be tolerant of each other and to imbibe the key words in marriage which are ‘I am sorry” Please forgive me.

He also told them that to have a peaceful marriage, they should be open to communicate to each other. He advised them always respect each other.

He thanked both families for raising responsible man and woman saying “I want to thank our national football hero, Chairman Christian Chukwu, the man who ensured that Nigeria’s name was registered on the continent by leading then Green Eagles to win the Africa Cup of Nations in 1980. I must congratulate you for raising a responsible woman in your daughter, Barrister Adorable Adaora.

“I also want to thank the family of the groom, Austin Ndibe for raising a responsible man in Engineer Chukwunwike Ndibe for raising a responsible man. Both families did wonderful jobs in bringing up responsible people that enabled us to witness this happy occasion,” he said.

One thing that was recurrent decimal from the Church to the reception was the fact that the father of the bride, Christian Chukwu (MFR) took the shine off the new couple as speaker after will refer to him and the quality selfless services he rendered to fatherland.

The highlights of the wedding ceremony were the exchange of marital vows by the couple, the signing of the marriage license and the cutting of the wedding cake at Piccadilly Suites, the venue of the wedding reception.
