Nwafor takes his restoration message to APC members in Osisioma LG
…Says ‘Our goal is to restore the dignity of Abians
From Boniface Okoro, Umuahia
Governorship Candidate of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) in Abia State, Egnr. Enyinnaya Chima Nwafor, has taken his message of restoration to members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Osisioma Local Government chapter.
Nwafor who also hails from Osisioma said the delivery of the message was impromptu and akin to an “ambush,” explaining that the objective of his robust engagement with Abians from all walks of life was to fashion out how to pool resources together in a manner that would help restore the dignity of man in state.
The YPP governorship hopeful, had in a statement made available to newsmen on Thursday, claimed that the APC members clearly understood his message, promising to continue engaging Abians across party lines with his restoration message.
The statement read: “This evening, as we deepened our search for Abians who will partner with us to birth the Abia of our dream, we ran into an unusual crowd of people who turned out to be members of the All Progressives Congress, Osisioma Chapter. Though it was an unplanned ‘ambush,’ their meeting objective was in consonance with ‘YPP’s Restoration Message,’ as this group was intentional about changing the Abia narratives.
“We are excited that they welcomed us and understood clearly that YPP is more than a party, as we are inspiring a Movement that looks beyond party affiliation.
“Going forward, we will be engaging Abians, irrespective of party leaning, provided the Common Denominator is how we will pool our resources together in a manner that the dignity of man will be restored in God’s own State.
“We thank our brothers and sisters in Osisioma APC for tolerating our ‘ambush’ and for demonstrating true spirit of sportsmanship. We are Progressives. We are championing a Movement that is more than a Party.”
The seasoned civil engineer is promising to turn the fortunes of Abia around if given the mandate of the people.
