Within 72 hours after his appointment as the Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited, Mr Bayo Ojulari welcomes a senior management team on Friday.
The appointments which took immediate effect would enable stability of processes and operations following sweeping changes in which President Bola Tinubu appointed new members to sit in the board of the company.
Spokesman of NNPC, Mr Femi Soneye, stated that NNPC appointed new 8-man senior management team on Friday following the appointment of the Group Chief Executive Officer and Board of Directors.
The GCEO, Mr Bashir Bayo Ojulari, will now work closely with the new Group Chief Operating Officer, Rowland Ewubare; Group Chief Financial Officer, Adedapo Segun; and Executive Vice President Gas in charge of Power & New Energy, Olalekan Ogunleye.
Other members of the team are the Executive Vice President in charge of Upstream, Udy Ntia; Executive Vice President in charge of Downstream, Mumuni Dangazau; Executive Vice President in charge of Business Services, Sophia Mbakwe; and the Company Secretary and Chief Legal Officer, Adesua Dozie.
In an earlier statement, Soneye had stated that Ojulari would consolidate on the achievements of his predecessor, Mallam Mele Kyari during a brief handover ceremony held at the NNPC Towers on Friday.
He had commended Kyari on his contributions to the growth of NNPC Limited and his sterling service to the nation; stating he would rely on the co-operation of the staff of the company to achieve the enormous targets set for his new management.
Earlier in his remarks, Kyari congratulated Ojulari and thanked the management and staff of the company for their support while in office. He pledged to support the new management to succeed.
The Oracle Today reports that Mr Ojulari is expected to drive several processes initiated by Mallam Kyari to conclusion, including divestment of the company’s assets, rehabilitation of the company’s refineries and completion of the ongoing process to list the company on the Nigerian capital market bourse.
