One person has been feared dead, and three others sustained injuries following a clash between Anambra State Emblem revenue agents and a truck driver, identified as Mr Chukwudubem Ifeainachi at Upper Iweka in the State.

This is the second fatal clash between a truck driver and the notorious revenue agents in the state in a space of one month.
The tipper driver was said to have been intercepted by the revenue agents while coming from the bridge head of River Niger and demanded for evidence of payment of emblem for one years.
Argument was said to have ensued leading to a fracas.
An eyewitness told our Reporter that “on getting to Upper Iweka, one of the emblem revenue agents, climbed the tipper laden with sand and demanded from the driver emblem receipts for one year.
“The driver told him that he had the receipts with him only that he had not placed them on his vehicle’s windscreen.
“On the process, the revenue agent demanded for some money (bribe) but the driver told him he had no money with him.
“The revenue agent was alleged to have forcefully put his hand inside the dashboard of the truck to collect money and the driver pushed him down.
“He mounted the tipper again and started struggling the steering with the driver as the vehicle was descending and both of them fell off the tipper.
“The tipper went out of control and immediately crushed to death a driver of one of the popular transport companies who was crossing the other side of the expressway after repairing his tyres.”
The tipper was said to have also rammed into another commuter bus and injured three persons.
