OPM General-Overseer brings foreign investors to Abia

The General Overseer of Omega Power Ministry (OPM), Apostle Chibuzo Chinyere, has demonstrated his desire to improve Abia’s Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) portfolio by bringing a team of potential foreign investors to Abia State.
Apostle Chinyere who is also the Traditional Ruler of Ikwu Orie Autonomus Community in Ohanko Ndoki, Ukwa East LGA of Abia State took the team to meet with the state Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, behind closed doors but emerged to tell that both parties had fruitful deliberations.
He said that the investors have interests in many areas, including aviation, housing, infrastructure, renewable energy, among others.
He said he had to embark on global shuttle to comb for investors because there was need to bring FDI to boost the efforts of Governor Otti in improving the state’s economy, noting that so far, the Governor has done well.
“We give God glory today. We are in Government House to meet with His Excellency, Dr. Alex Otti. I thank God for his life, I thank God for bringing such a person to come and rescue Abia State and that is what motivated me to move around to see how I would attract investors to the state.
“Because of the love I have for my State, that is why I said let me go around, get investors and investments. They came from different countries like Italy, the Netherlands, Austria and by the grace of God, they’ve come and it was a positive meeting,” he said.
According to him, the potential investors he brought “want to invest on infrastructure, housing; and they want to invest in building airport in Abia State. The Governor was excited and has given us a positive answer.”
“The Governor of Abia State is God-sent; to come and deliver us from Egypt. So, Abia has been delivered from Egypt. We are very close to the Promised Land,” Apostle Chinyere added.
Also speaking, Dr. Sunny Ofehe, who was part of the Apostle Chinyere team, revealed that one of the major visions of Apostle Chinyere was to attract foreign direct investments to the state.
“On the day His Royal Majesty (Apostle Chinyere) was coroneted, he made it clear that one of his major visions for his community and the state is to attract foreign direct investments to Abia State and he has traveled around the globe in pursuit of that vision.
“So, today, he officially presented some of the results of his travels to His Excellency and I think that one of his primary goals is to ensure that Abia State is advanced in capital volume in foreign direct investment,” Ofehe said, noting that their meeting with the Governor was “amazing and fruitful.”
“You will agree with me that the National Bureau of Statistics’ publication last year showed that Abia State was able to attract just 85 million Dollars in terms of foreign direct investment into the State.
“But I think with what he (Gov. Otti) has done so far, the next result that will come out from NBS in 2025 will be very impressive,” Dr. Ofehe assured.
He described Governor Otti as a man with vision and called on all to align with his (Governor’s) vision.
