Otti appoints SSG, Chief of Staff, others

Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, has appointed members of his kitchen cabinet, with Prof Kenneth Kalu as Secretary to the State Government (SSG).
Incidentally, Prof Kalu was among the three-man team which received the Handover Note from the immediate -past government of Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, represented by the outgone SSG, Barr. Chris Ezem.
A statement by Governor Otti’s Special Media Adviser, Ferdinand Ekeoma, Tuesday evening of May 30, 2023, disclosed that the Governor also approved the appointment of Pastor Caleb Ajagba, as his Chief of Staff, while
Dr. Ngozi Okoronkwo was named the Special Adviser on Health Care Delivery Services.
Ajagba was the one who received the Handover Note from Ezem.
To handle the Media front are Mr.
Ferdinand Ekeoma, who will function as Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, while Mr. Kazie Ukoh was named as the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor.
Mrs. Njum Onyemenam was appointed the new Accountant-General, just as the Governor who, during his inauguration, declared a state of emergency on the environmental situation in the state, has put the responsibility of ensuring a clean environment in the state for now on the shoulders of Mr. Ogbonnia Okereke who has been appointed as Head, Special Taskfore on Emergency Cleanup of Aba and Umuahia.
Ekeoma announced that the appointments take immediate effect.
