The Governor thanked MUNEC for their decision to establish a flour mill and ceramic industry in Abia, which he noted, had existed in the state before they collapse and described their plan as a welcome development as government was excited about it.
He noted that when realized, the industries would not only provide employment opportunities for the youths but also increase revenue base of the state.
“We are excited about having these two industries coming to our state, not just for job creations like you said. It’s important for job creation but also productivity, the gross domestic product of the state would improve with this kind of activities coming into the state,” Gov. Otti stressed.

Nwankpa disclosed that they have partners from Florida in the United States of America, who would provide the funds. But he said the company needed support from the government in form of Comfort Letter to enable them to access the funds.
While revealing that the raw materials for the factories would be sourced locally, the MUNEC CEO added that when established, the factories would take off about 6, 000 persons from the labour market in the state.
Contributing, the Process Engineer of the company, Uzoma Collins, said results of their research show that establishing the flour mill and ceramic industry in Abia would be viable ventures.
