‘Ozigbo would have made a great governor of Anambra,’ as Senator Dickson hails ex-PDP Anambra governorship candidate
Senator representing Bayelsa – West in the 9th National Assembly, and former Governor of the state, Seriake Dickson, Monday, hailed the sportsman spirit of Mr Valentine Ozigbo, the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at the just-concluded Anambra election.
Dickson playing host to Ozigbo, who was on a courtesy visit to his office in Abuja, commended the way and manner the governorship candidate ‘conducted himself throughout the elections and particularly the way he conceded defeat.’
Ozigbo was on ‘thank-you’ tour to those who supported him throughout the election which was eventually won by Prof. Charles Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) party.
Dickson, the immediate past governor of Bayelsa State, therefore, advised Ozigbo ‘not to give up and that he has a great future.’
“Recently, I was visited by our party’s candidate in the just concluded Anambra gubernatorial polls, Mr Valentine Ozigbo.
“Valentine Ozigbo is a wonderful gentleman, gave his all in the last elections. I commend his spirit of sportsmanship, by the way and manner he conducted himself throughout the elections and particularly the way he conceded defeat.
“I have advised him not to give up and that he has a great future, he is someone who would have made a great governor of that great state. He should work with other leaders to put the party together for the challenges ahead.”
