‘PDP is a home of injustice,’ says Amb. Abang

Nigeria’s former Ambassador to Mali, Ambassador Soni Abang has described the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) as a home of injustice.
Ambassador Abang who also served as the state chairman of the PDP made this known at Iso-Bendeghe in Boki local government while formally defecting from the PDP to the APC.
Abang said: “The current word that has been trending in Cross River State in the last three months is injustice and any further attempt to perpetuate injustice would spell doom for the state.
“For those of us who believe in justice we always fight when injustice begins to thrive.
“The governor defected because of injustice. And when I left for APC in 2015, it was because of injustice. And in 2018 I left the APC again because of the same injustice”, he said.
He regretted helping to make Cross River State a one party state in view of the impunity that came with it and maintained that there has to be checks and balances in the system.
“When I left PDP in 2015, I told them that my greatest mistake as a party chairman was that I railroaded the state into a one party state.
“The level of impunity that metamorphosed from that singular action was regrettable and that we needed checks and balances in our political system. So we needed to encourage the opposition to win election”, he said.
He promised to work for the party and ensure its victory in 2023.
Welcoming the former Ambassador back to the party, Tina Agbor the Secretary to the state government said Boki is completely APC and the ex-diplomat will help build the APC.
