PDP reschedules North-West zonal congress to February 12
Main opposition, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has scheduled its outstanding Zonal Congress for the North-West Zone.
The rescheduling, according to the party, is for the purpose of electing NW Zonal Working Committee and National Ex-Officios for Saturday, February 12, 2022.
“This is part of the resolution of the PDP National Working Committee (NWC) at its meeting on Wednesday, January 12, 2022.
“The North-West Zonal Congress is slated to hold at the Zonal Headquarters of the party in Kaduna state.
“All critical stakeholders and teeming members of our great party in the North-West Zone are by this informed and guided accordingly,” read a notice that effect issued by Hon. Umaru M. Bature, the party’s
National Organizing Secretary.
Meanwhile, the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party has formally adopted the report of the 7-man Committee set up for the June 18, 2022 Ekiti governorship election.
The resolution was taken during the party’s meeting in Abuja, Wednesday.
“The NWC has accordingly invited the 7-man Committee to an emergency meeting on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at the PDP National Secretariat Abuja. Time is 2pm.
“Attendance to the emergency meeting is mandatory and strictly by invitation, please.
“The NWC commends members of the 7-man Committee for their dedicated efforts in the very important assignment,” said Bature.
