Perverse French husband offered wife and daughter to rapists
The French pervert who had drugged his wife and hired 72 men to rape her 92 times, had also paraded the nude photo of his married daughter to entice participants in regular rape orgies he hosted while his wife passed out.
More details poured out as Dominique Pélicot came to trial and his abused wife secured court’s order for open hearing on the matter which has earned global outrage.
Pélicot’s daughter, Caroline Darian, stated in a memoir she penned after discovering in 2020 that her father is a serial sex offender that she was also in the picture as second victim.
The Oracle Today reported that Dominique Pélicot was accused of drugging Darian’s mother and his wife of 50 years – the woman he had met as sweethearts when they were both 18 – and inviting dozens of men to rape her over at least a decade.
Court documents showed that Dominique’s wife, Gisèle Pélicot, was regularly drugged by her pervert husband who invited strangers to rape her for free while he recorded the acts. And the incidents happened in their home in the small town of Mazan, 20 miles north-east of Avignon, in the south of France. The drugs were hidden – in the garage, in his walking shoes, in a sports sock.
Events began to unravel in 2020 when Dominique Pélicot was caught red-handed and locked up for 48 hours for filming up the skirts of three women in a supermarket; and police had seized his phone, camcorder and computer.Police examination through some 20,000 digital images in the devices showed Gisèle asleep, drugged and being raped. Police counted 92 rapes committed by 72 men, of whom 51 were formally identified.
It turned out that Dominique had been administering date rape drugs to incapacitate his wife.
Darian was devastated to find her nude photos on display
And among Dominique’s trove of photos were pictures of his daughter as a grown woman, front and back, in her underwear, which he had compared to similar images of his wife and shared with others.
According to the revelations at the court, Dominique was consuming Viagra, testing himself for HIV. He allegedly forbade those he invited to rape his wife from wearing a condom.
In one photo, according to Caroline, Gisèle appears naked, on her stomach, with a man behind her.
“The other photos are all similar – except with different men,” the daughter recounts.
More photos showed Caroline sleeping on her mother’sleft side as she was being raped.
“Normally I’m a light sleeper. So I had been drugged too; I was his second prey.” Gisèle’s daughter stated that she suffered a breakdown, and was briefly confined to psychiatric care after knowing that her father also exposed her to strangers.
As the family lawyer began to receive evidence in the months that followed, alleged details began to emerge of how her father had boasted online of the power of the drugs and how he had mastered dosage, quoting one message: “Last time I didn’t do enough; this time, no problem, we can go for it.”
His approach was, according to his daughter, always the same: first he would reach out to potential abusers on an internet chatroom, then ask those selected if, like him, they were into “the rape method” before posting pictures of his wife on a private forum called “without their knowledge”.
“He dressed her like a low-rent prostitute,” noted his appalled daughter.
He did not have to go far to find willing participants. Most of those who responded lived close by. Finally, he would draw a map of how to get to the house, photograph it, and send it to those he had selected, guiding them on their final approach by text message. So as not to alert the neighbours, cars had to be parked at a nearby gym.
Every detail was considered. No one could wear perfume or smoke, so as to leave no trace of their presence. Mobile phones had to be left in cars, to avoid the risk of them ringing and waking the victim. They even had to wash their hands in warm water so as not to shock his slumbering wife with cold fingers. After undressing in the kitchen, abusers were advised to keep their clothes handy in case they had to leave in a hurry.
Defendants in the trial were aged from 21 to 68 at the time of the alleged rapes. They include a fireman, lorry driver, municipal councillor, IT worker in a bank, prison guard, nurse and a journalist.
When asked if he was sexually attracted to his daughter, he said no. “She’s not my type. She’s much younger than I’m used to.” Finally: “I never touched my daughter.”
