Peter Obi: Leader Obu slams critics
…Says Gathering of Igbos before Leader Obu has nothing to do with politics
From Aniekan Aniekan, Calabar
The spokesman of the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star (BCS), CPS Amah Williams has debunked reports that the gathering of Igbos before Leader Olumba Olumba Obu has to do with the presidential ambition of Peter Obi.
CPS Williams made this known in Calabar while formally reacting to reports by an online blogger which insinuated the meeting with the Igbos has something to do with politics.
In his words, “The Leader of Brotherhood of the Cross and Star is not a politician nor is He
interested in politics.
“He is the Father of all and all genuine aspirations of the children of God are always blessed by Him.
“Concerning the Leadership of
Nigeria, He has made it clear on several occasions that only the Will of God will
be done in Nigeria.
“Therefore, at no time did He invite the Igbo Nations for a meeting concerning the presidential ambitions of Mr Peter Obi or any politician as insinuated by the said report made by Scooper.
“The gathering of all Igbos before His Holy presence has nothing in its entirety to
do with politics but has everything to do with His soul-saving mission on earth,
which encompasses blessing and the repositioning of humanity for salvation”, he said.
He added that the Leadership of Brotherhood of the Cross and Star believes in constituted authority and obeys all established laws of the land and also encourages adherents to do the same as stated in 1st Peter 2:17.
He stressed that as the ideal instrument for mankind to regain her spiritual, moral and
social freedom as a people created to serve God’s purpose, a gathering such as
will take place amongst God’s children in Igbo land has nothing to do with politics but it is for the spiritual blessings of all the sons and daughters of Igbo extraction.
