Peter Obi’s Eight-Day-Eight-City Tour in Washington DC (Photos)
Presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Dr Peter Obi, has taken his Eight-Day-Eight-City Tour and Encounter with Nigeria Diaspora, to the United States’ capital city of Washington DC, Thursday.
Obi who met with over 200 Nigerian Diaspora community in the U.S city, at the auditorium of the Howard University.
Speaking via his verified Twitter handle (@PeterObi), the presidential candidate expressed ‘delight to be in the Washington, DC – the Chocolate City and on this historical campus of Howard University,’ just as he thanked the Diaspora community ‘for inviting me. And special thanks to the attendees.’
“Some of you are here in the United States by choice; but majority are stranded here, but not by choice. Our national circumstances have compelled your sojourn here. But I am certain of this: If your hearts were not in Nigeria, if you were not patriotic, you won’t be here today,” Obi told the gathering.
Already, Obi has visited Nigerian Diaspora communities in cities of Germany, Canada, and now the United States.
