Police uncover illegal hotel for sex slavery, baby factory in Anambra, rescue 35 teenage girls

Police in Anambra have uncovered a hotel located at Nkpor Idemili-North local government area of the state for sex slavery and baby factory. They also rescued a total of 35 teenage girls, four of whom are alleged to be pregnant.
The police said teenage girls between the ages of 14 and 17 years old are allegedly used as sex slaves, prostitutes in the hotel.
State Police Commissioner Echeng Eworo Echeng who disclosed in a press statement released by the spokesman of the Command DSP Ikenga Tochi advised parents and guardians to keep an eye on their children especially the type of friends they keep to avoid negative influences.
“We advise parent/guardian to always create a deliberate relationship with their children/wards. This will help to guide and direct them in their activities. It will help to monitor against unforeseen issues and bad company.
“Following a rigorous analysis of crime trends and pattern, the Command Operatives working on information bursted a hotel named Gally Gally in Nkpor where they use children between the ages of 14years – 17years for sex slaves, prostitution and baby factory.
“The Operatives rescued, 35 girls and 4 of them are pregnant.
“The police also arrested 3 persons namely: Mrs Ifeoma Uzo age ‘F’ 35yrs, Chidiebere Alaka ‘M’ 28years and Nweke Chidiebere.
“We recovered three pump action gun, seven cartridges and cash sum of Eight hundred and seventy seven thousand, five hundred naira (N877,500). The Suspects arrested are being interrogated with a view to eliciting information on their involvement and unmasking other gang members.
“We also have NAPTIP (National Agency For The Prohibition Of Trafficking In Persons) whom we shall hand over the victims for the welfare and rehabilitation of the children.All suspects will be charged to court at the end of investigations.”
The Command also disclosed that “police operatives on patrol demobilized one out of four armed robbery gang operating along Ogidi/Oraukwu road, recover one Ak47 and six rounds live ammunition.”
The statement added that the Police operatives engaged the armed robbers operating in white hilux without registration number, attempting to dispossess motorists and their passengers of their belongings. “Due to the superior fire of the Police, the robbers fled the scene with the white Hilux even as he also informed that operation was still ongoing in the area,” the statement added.
