Project developments in Abia properly, new CPS urges Abia journalists

The newly appointed Chief Press Secretary to the Executive Governor of Abia State, Mr. Ukoha Njoku Ukoha, has charged Journalists practicing in the state to properly highlight the developmental strides of the current administration led by Dr. Alex Otti as they ply their trade.
Mr. Ukoha gave the charge during his maiden meeting with members of the Government House Press Corps.
According to the new CPS, the State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, has achieved a lot in the last one year of his administration which should be properly highlighted and publicized.
Mr. Ukoha who emphasised the importance of the media in the promotion of good governance as championed by Dr. Alex Otti, stressed the need for synergy between the state government and the media.
He pleaded with journalists to work closely with him, maintaining that it requires synergy to work as a team.
He urged members of the Press to come up with innovations on how best to work in the media sector, assuring that he would run an open door policy and make himself available for everyone.
Responding on behalf of his colleagues, the Director of Information, Government House, Umuahia, Mr. Azubuike Jinanwa, congratulated the new Chief Press Secretary on his appointment. He said that the Press would continue to give due publicity to the activities, projects and programmes of Governor Alex Otti.
Mr. Jinanwa, who thanked the CPS for deeming it fit to meet with the members of the Government House Press Corps, assured him of the support of Press to enable him to succeed.
The meeting which featured questions and answers attracted the presence of the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Publicity, Mr. Ferdinand Ekeoma.
