Real Madrid to table €120m before PSG for Mbappe now, or get player for free next year
France International and Paris Saint-Germain star, Kylian Mbappe is believed to be holding out for a much-desired move to presently cash-strapped Spanish giants, Real Madrid.
The French star who has just one year remaining on his PSG contract while refusing to renew it despite the arrival of Argentine Lionel Messi as a free agent, early this week, is bent on forcing a move to Real Madrid either a PSG player or as a free agent, which becomes the case when in January 2022 he is permitted to negotiate his own contract talks.
Real Madrid are also believed to be waiting for this to happen considering their financial status that has seen the La Liga club apparently forcing its own high wages earning of fringe players to look for another club.
However, Real Madrid will be hoping to raise the first installment on the proposed €120m offer by selling Norwegian star, Martin Odegaard to Arsenal, who have already tabled the €120m asking price demanded by Madrid.
Madrid have also asked its players to accept wage cuts of up to 50% if they still wish to remain and be registered to play this season. This development, in particular, forced its captain and reliable defender, Sergio Ramos to move to PSG weeks back.
Meanwhile, it has been reported that Real Madrid has tabled €120m for Mbappe this summer before PSG.
According to sources, if PSG reject it, Madrid’s president Florentino Perez will confidently assume that the Frenchman will join them for free in the summer of 2022 when his contract expires.
Moreover, Mbappe’s associates claim that the player will provide an update on his future on Monday, August 15.
Kylian still does not plan on extending his contract with PSG. However, he is ready to continue at the French club for his final year before leaving for free.
Meanwhile, PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi remains optimistic about the Parisians’ chances of keeping Mbappe.
He claimed the Frenchman had ‘ no excuses ‘ not to continue at PSG following the summer arrivals.
