S’East governors vow to intensify fight against insecurity

Governors of South East have resolved to intensify fight against insecurity in the region.
In a communique read after the meeting held in Enugu by the Chairman of South East Governors’ Forum and Governor of Imo State, Sen. Hope Uzodinma, on Thursday, the Forum commended the security agencies for their cooperation and achievements so far and encourage them not to relent.
“We wish to categorically State that the perpetrators of insecurity and their sponsors in our region are criminals and shouldn’t be seen as legitimate agitators. Therefore, upon arrest, they should be dealt with in accordance with the laws of the land.
The forum also resolved to hold security and economic summit as soon as possible.
All the South East Governors were present at the meeting.
